Thank you so much for these podcasts. It is a great avenue in which to share the teachings of St Benedict to a wider audience eager, keen, and hungry for spiritual direction and a closer relationship with God. My ear bends to my heart but often my head gets in the way. I become more aware that this is more often, than, not, due to my “slackness of disobedience” which prevents me from becoming fully human. It is a life’s labour to become more obedient to our inner yearning for good, peace and to become whole. Thank you Fr Casey for your masterful insights into the rule of St Benedict and your community for the courage and foresight to share your learnings and experiences. A true sign of hospitality.

Thank you Father Casey. I have just begun with BOOC and feel a bit isolated downunder! Doing my reading on the RB prologue which is our activity for week one, I found your site. This is most apropos to be meditating on accompaniment while on the journey. I shall be visiting each day.

Dear Eliane, lately I have similar problem with iTunes. I do not know why I can’t download previous podcasts. I think the best way at the moment is to download the earlier podcasts manually by clicking “download” on our website, and then transfer them to your iTunes.

I followed the instructions on downloading the podcast via iTunes.
However, copying the link only allows me to download the latest podcast but not the previous ones. I also tried various iTunes settings, without succes.
Is there a way to download the previous podcasts? Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for reading our rule in a living language, it makes it more alive; thanks also for having dropped the “my” from usual translations saying “my son”: I consider this as extremely significant for the understanding of the whole rule.

This is fantastic. I am always looking for something like this for my mp3 player. I work for BCBS and my work is production oriented. I am not into vernacular music and readings unless it helps me in prayer and the dispositon to prayer and a holy life. I commend you to continue this work with other readings as well. Thank you so much. You can do so much good from your monastery than you can imagine. May God complete this good work in you.
